Acupuncture's ability to alleviate low back pain has been recognised by the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE). This independent organisation - which provides evidence-based guidance and recommendations for the NHS - has explicitly backed the use of acupuncture in the treatment of low back pain.
